Regular physical activity is one of the most effective ways to protect long-term health. You do not need a gym membership or specialist equipment to get started — consistency matters far more than intensity.
For most adults, aim for around 30 minutes of moderate activity on most days of the week. Brisk walking, swimming and cycling are all excellent options. If you are managing a chronic condition or recovering from an injury, speak with your physician or physical therapist before beginning a new routine so the programme can be adapted safely to your needs.
Older adults should include balance and strength work, which help reduce the risk of falls. Our rehabilitation team can design a personalised plan built around your current level of mobility.
